The Digital Management and Development Center (DMDC) received a visit from the System Development and Engineering Center (SDEC), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) on 20 September 2022 (Tuesday).

This visit aims to create benchmarks and share experiences and knowledge that have been carried out by UniMAP. Among the essence of the visit is to discuss the platform and technology used at UniMAP, eLearning, the implementation of application systems and portals for staff and students as well as several other agendas.

The visit was led by Ts. Khadijah Chamili, Director of SDEC, USIM and was greeted by Mrs. Rohazna Wahab, Head of Digital Development & Data Analytics Division, DMDC, UniMAP.

A Digital Transformation Workshop for all Information Technology Officers and Assistant Information Technology Officers of PTM's Digital Development and Data Analytics Division was held today at the Digital Lab, Digital Management and Development Center (DMDC). The speaker for this workshop is  Dr Azma binti Abdul Hamid from Content Capital SDN BHD

The Digital Management and Development Center received a working visit from the Information Technology Division, Perlis State Land and Mines Department today led by Mrs. Azilawati and Mrs. Zuwairi from the Perlis State Land and Mines Department together with the Department of Federal Director General of Lands and Mines Mrs. Nurul Hidayah and Mr. Mohd Shahidan and with the supplier from Puncak Tegap Sdn BHD.

The purpose of this visit is to discuss placing Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) equipment for the e-Land system in JTGPs.

Successful Migration of 10Gbps Internet using Fibre Optics grid under Power Lines of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)

Digital Management and Development Centre (DMDC) Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) has successfully implemented 10Gbps Internet migration activity using Allo Technologies Sdn Bhd fibre networks led by Mr. Mohammad Taufik Saidina Omar as the Head of the Campus Networking Section. Letter of Acceptance (SST) for a new contract to supply 8Gbps Internet access for the first year and 10Gbps Internet for the second year, starting from 9th May 2022 until 8th May 2024 has been awarded to Tenaga Nasional Berhad subsidiary, Allo Technology Sdn Bhd (https://www.allo.my/ ).

The main features of this network is using fibre optics grid which is laid under power lines of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). This line provides direct internet access from the Data Center, Pauh Putra Campus, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) connected through a Private Leased Line, an unshared, dedicated link directly into Allo Carrier Network System (ACNS) in Cyberjaya.

The final stages of migration started from Wednesday, 9th June 2022 and ended on Friday, 1st July 2022. The following are some pictures and technical diagrams of the operation.

This route is rated 3 hop with network latency reading of only 10 milliseconds to reach the Allo Tech router in Cyberjaya. With this successful installation, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) has become the first Malaysian university to use the services of Allo Carrier Network System (ACNS).

DMDC received benchmark visit from the Information and Communication Development Center (iDEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) today led by the Director of the Information and Communication Development Center (iDEC), PM Ts. Dr. Fatimah binti Sidi and together with 11 staff members consisting of the Head of Division and Head of Section of IDEC.

The purpose of this visit is to share knowledge between universities and to take a closer look environment at Data Center Management, ICT Network System and ICT Security DMDC, UniMAP to gain further strength the management of ICT administration in UPM.

Digital Management and Development Centre (DMDC)  - NEW CHANNEL NOTICE FOR ICT SERVICE COMPLAINTS

Digital Management and Development Centre (DMDC) UniMAP has improved the methods to enable every UniMAP citizen to make complaints related to ICT services at UniMAP. The ICT service complaint channel managed by DMDC UniMAP can be filled in on the website https://sites.google.com/unimap.edu.my/aduan-helpdesk-dmdc/home or email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The new features of this complaints channel are:

➡️ To Ensure that the DMDC has complete details of the complainant to facilitate problem solving.

➡️ UniMAP staff can include a photo file or any file that can explain the meaning of the complaint.

➡️ A clearer service complaint format and easier for the DMDC team to understand problems that arise.

➡️ UniMAP staff will continue to receive a copy of the service complaint to the email registered in the complaint for further review.

➡️ Each service complaint will be responded to within 4 hours during working hours.

 

Bagi tujuan penambahbaikan, aduan melalui Channel Telegram (HELPDESK Pusat Digital / UniMAP Digital Center) akan ditutup untuk aduan dan warga UniMAP dikehendaki menyalurkan aduan melalui saluran baru yang diperkenalkan. Tujuan penutupan aduan melalui Telegram adalah untuk:

➡️  Membolehkan butiran aduan dan pengguna dapat direkodkan dengan lebih baik.

➡️  Memastikan semua aduan yang dibuat adalah hanya berkaitan dengan perkhidmatan ICT sahaja.

 

Penggunaan saluran baru aduan perkhidmatan ICT dan penutupan aduan melalui telegram ini  bermula 3 Jun 2021.

The new features of this complaint channel are:

➡️  To Ensure DMDC obtains details of the complaint in order to solve the problems.

➡️  UniMAP members can upload a picture file or any file that can explain or describe the complaint.

➡️  A clearer service complaint format and easier for the DMDC team to understand problems  arised.

➡️  UniMAP members will receive a copy of the complaint to the email registered in the form for further action.

➡️  Each complaint will be responded within 4 hours during working hours.

 

For the purpose of improvement, complaints through the Telegram Channel (HELPDESK Pusat Digital / UniMAP Digital Center) will be closed for complaints and UniMAP members are required to submit their complaints through this new method. The purpose of closing a complaint via Telegram is to:

➡️  Allows details of complaints to be recorded in a better way.

➡️  Ensure that all complaints made are only related to ICT

 

Complaint through Telegram Channel will be closed on 3 June 2021. ICT service complaint will use new channel starting 3 June 2021.
